Fellowship Village at Basking Ridge - Healthcare Renovations and Additions

Basking Ridge, NJ

Fellowship Senior Living engaged KDA Architects to reimagine the Fellowship Village Health Center. The design for the Health Center is varied in style and is homelike. The new health care facility consists of 8 separate and distinct households that promote a homelike environment, but at the same time focus on the special needs of the residents living there.

Each household of 17 to 20 residents has a distinctive architectural style with a front entrance that allows people to take on the social customs of entering someone’s home. As in most homes, once inside you will enter the living room with easy, open access to the kitchen and dining room, all with a lot of natural light. Other areas in the common household space are a private dining room, den/library, game area, and an enclosed four-season porch that opens to the outdoors. Beyond the semi-public space where residents, staff and guests socialize are the private accommodations of the residents.
