Peconic Landing, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in the town of Greenport, NY, selected KDA Architects to design its new dining venue. The surrounding area is known for its wineries and vineyards, beachfront views, fishing, and downtown with an abundance of shopping and dining experiences.
There are currently two on campus dining options for the residents of Peconic Landing—a large dining facility that provides full-service formal dining and a smaller, casual dining venue for on-the-go eating.
The design of the new dining facility creates a multi-layered, indoor/outdoor space, with distinctive dining experiences for Peconic Landing residents. A fully retractable glass wall separates the indoor and outdoor settings, but when opened, joins the two spaces. The outdoor porch provides panoramic views of the Long Island Sound that can be enjoyed throughout the year, and the new patio allows residents to socialize with casual lounge seating and a firepit.
