The Kutz Home / Lodge Lane Assisted Living

The Kutz Home commissioned KDA Architects to expand its existing skilled nursing facility to include assisted living services on their campus. The property available for the expansion is contiguous with county parkland that was formerly part of late 19^th century estates overlooking the Delaware River. The nearby estate homes are part of the setting and provide the architectural inspiration for the new building. Use of natural and constructed landforms and plantings complete the setting for the new building while providing visual separation from the existing nursing facility.

The new building includes 31 resident rooms and a 17-unit memory care wing. The community spaces are oriented to take advantage of the setting with the great room and terrace overlooking the pond and the park beyond. The dining venues with display cooking and a bistro have direct access to outdoor seating in garden courtyards.
