Waldfogel Health Center
Peabody, MA
Aviv Centers for Living engaged KDA Architects to design a new resident-centered household model of healthcare that merged Aviv’s skilled nursing and senior housing for the people of the North Shore into one location.
The Waldfogel Health Center consists of 144 beds on four floors. Each of the floors has a different primary focus. The main floor is an active area where residents can enjoy coffee at the Bistro, visit the salon or gift shop, and attend musical events in the Great Room. The second floor is dedicated to memory support and offers easy access to secure outdoor gardens. The third floor is dedicated to short term rehabilitation and post-acute services organized around a large gym. The fourth floor is dedicated to long-term care.
The Center offers a variety of outdoor spaces and amenities coupled with comfortable interior public spaces for dining, socialization, and programming. The Adult Day Health Care and an inter-generational Early Childhood Program increase the activity within the center and its interaction with the North Shore community.
